BUDAPEST CITY TOUR

     We will show you the most beautiful views, places and monuments in the city: the City Park, the Heroes’ Square, the Millinary Monument, the Opera House, the Parliament, the Castle District, the Fishermen’s Bastion, the King Matthias’ Church, St. Stephen’s Basilica. The tour ends in the city center, next to the Intercontinental Hotel.
Sights we visit (from outside) :
• The Parliament – as a building is the third largest in the world - a treasure of the eclectic architecture of the 20th century
• Margaret-Bridge - the second bridge, built at the end of the 19th century by a French company
• Margaret Island - place to breathe fresh air, called ’lung’ of the capital, - 2.5 kilometers long with a total area of 0,965 km² of gardens
• Royal Castle – at this time is cultural center with museums and the National Library
• Fishermens’ Bastion - a balcony built over the old walls of the medieval city
• Church of king Matthias - was also Coronation Church of the Hungarians Monarchs, has medieval origins and actually has a neogothic aspect
• Gellért Hill - area residential, with the Citadel and the Liberty’s Statue, on their feet is the famous Gellért Spa
• Heroes’ Square - with a monument dedicated to the heroes of the Hungarian History, at its side, are some of the most important museums in Hungary – the Fine Arts Museum
• Hungarian State Opera House - masterpiece of the architect Miklós Ybl, built in eclectic style of the 19th century
• St. Stephen’s Basilica - the largest Roman Catholic church in the capital, center of the archbishop of Budapest, planned and built by the architect of the Opera House, Miklós Ybl
