CHOPOK JASNÁ - SKY SLOVAKIA

Well-equiped and less luxurious hotels and dining-rooms hotels make out of Demanovska dolina an international known ski center fitting modern requirements. One of the biggest and most popular centers of winter sports is situated 15 km away from Liptovsky Mikulas and 60 km from an airport in Poprad. It lays in the upper part of Demanovska dolina. Its a part of National park Low Tatras, on the northern slopes of Chopok and Deresov in the hights 950 to 2024 m. Here are excellent terrains for skiing and many different difficult ski-running tracks, a cabin funicular, seat elevators, and ski tows. Skialpinists have many posibillities here too. In this center a world championship in junior skiing, a World winter universiade, and many world and Europe FTS cup competitions took place. This center was a candidate for the XX. WOG (Winter Olympic Games) 2006 in skiing disciplines. The skiing season is from 15.XII. To 30. IV.

Demanovska dolina - Jasna is a mountain center for all-year turistics. There are two public caves in Demanovska dolina: Demanovska ladova jaskyna (ice cave) and Demanovska jaskyna slobody. Nearby is Vrbicke pleso (a lake; a national reservation sized 25 ha) and many marked turistic paths are here. The Mountain live savers are active here, many complex services for skiers, a ski-school, ski service, a pool, fitness center. You can reach it by bus or by car.

DEMANOVSKA DOLINA - CHOPOK

A known viewing point. The northern and southern slopes of Chopok, the second highest peak in the main ridge of Low Tatras (2024 m a.s.), is the best ski terrains in Slovakia. On the north Jasna, on the south Kosodrevina and Srdiecko. You can get to Chopok by a seat funicular from Demanovska dolina -Jasna or from Bystra dolina -Srdiecko (a turistic and ski center). The average lenght of the ski season is 120 days. The center is well equiped by mountain trafic works, several tows and arranged ski-tracks are here. The ski-tracks are mostly difficult. The conditionc are also good for ski turism. Dumbiersky ski-track is on the ridge from Chopok to Dumbier and to Stefanikova chata (a hut) into the saddle of Polana. Chopok is suitable for short walks and for difficult ridge turistics too. You can borrow a ski outfit and all belongings for skiing, a skiservis and a skischool is here. Many restaurants and bufets are here too.

PARK SNOW DONOVALY

     When arriving to this ski resort by car you can leave it at one of several FREE parking areas. The largest parking area is right in the centre of Donovaly next to Koliba GORAL and ski schools. There are also other parking places available, e.g. next to Yeti bar, directly at the main road down to Ružomberok, at FUN PARK in Mistriky, next to the bottom terminal of Nova hoľa chairlift and at the apartment house Magura.

Equipment and services

Park Snow Donovaly has prepared for you excellent skiing conditions with great slalom runs, downhill runs, and good conditions for cross-country skiing or, what's becoming more and more attractive - snowboarding - with a high standard of service. In our Park Snow Donovaly, ski and snowboard rental services, ski-services, and also ski schools for beginners are available.

There are more than 11 km of regularly adjusted ski runs and more than 7km of 17 downhill runs, artificially covered with snow. Certainly you will not skip the chance for an exciting night of skiing or the view of snowy hills from a bird's perspective while paragliding. If you love the adrenaline rush of snowboarding, you can find the temptation of excellent terrains for free-riding here, peppered with a lot of rails and obstacles, and jibbing on the U-ramp. TÁLE SKI, GOLF & HOTEL RESORT

Not far from the golf course, the ski resort Tále is situeated. Ski resort Tále is popular among beginners and intermediate skiers. There are six ski-tows and five, good quality ski-slopes here. Night skiing, with a lightened ski track 1.5 kilometre long is very alluring too. Do you like snowboarding? For more experienced snowboarders, there is a snowboard park, where you can try Border Cross. Or do you prefer cross-country skis? Then we have something special for you. You will find a well kept cross-country ski track in the area snowed over golf course. Families with children will also find their place in ski resort Tále, as there are children ski-tows and children ski-school here, but also variety of attracions, which will make the stay for your children a great fun. Besides all that mentioned above, you can also use an indoors swimming pool, billiard or a table tennis. The youth will most defininitely enjoy our regularly organized discotheques. LEVOČA - ZÁVADA

Zavada ski resort is located in eastern Slovakia, about 9 km from the town of Levoca. The base station is located at an altitude of 850 m and the highest point is the center of 987 m. The season starts in January and ends at the end of February. Ski resort Levoca offers 4.8 kilometers of ski trails. There are 2 lifts with a transport capacity of 1126 person per hour. Parents with children can make use of children ski lift and ski school, located in the center. For fans of cross country skiing is prepared a 15 km cross country trail. For visitors 50 free parking spaces are avaiable. Ski resort Levoca - Zavada received 3 stars from the official 5-stage categorization of the Slovak Association of Ski and Lifts.

HIGH TATRAS - TATRANSKÁ LOMNICA

Enjoy sunny skiing in the most eminent ski resort of the eastern part of High Tatras. There are 9 ski slopes of different difficulty to enjoy, from the easiest ones to really difficult ones. There is also children ski school in the resort. Take a lift from this highest located resort in Slovakia and enjoy the long ride down to its valley stations. The most beautiful view on the surrounding nature will keep your company on your journey down. For those, who did not have enough of daily skiing, there is an offer of night skiing, with the lighted tracks of 550 metres. Among favourite attractions in those surroundings is also a trip by a lift right to Lomnický štít or a ride by Tatra’s tram which you can use as an alternative kind of transportation into this resort. Tatranská Lomnica is crossed by many well kept cross-country skiing tracks that lead to the longest track from Tatranská Lomnica to Vyšné Hágy. RECREATION CENTER VADIČOV

Vadičov ski resort located 15 km from Zilina in the beautiful Kysucka vrchovina, is an ideal place to spend the winter and summer holidays. The Center is located at an altitude of 489 to 600 meters above sea level. It is especially suitable for demanding skiers and beginners. For more demanding skiers it can provide transportation to nearby ski resorts - Vratna-Chleb, Velka Raca-Oscadnica. In the center there are two lifts for skiers and children to the hill where you will experience fun. Enjoy a romantic night skiing or discover the constantly maintained surrounding tracks for cross country skiing. There are two Poma lifts (650 m) for skiers, ski lifts for children (450 and 120 m) and tubing runway. Only few meters from the slope there is waiting for you a nice snack and directly in the area we have reserved parking with a capacity of 200 seats. Here you can experience a pleasant family skiing.

SALAMANDRA RESORT

Salamandra Resort is situated in southern Slovakia, making it the closest ski resort with affordable lift for skiers from the western and southern Slovakia. It provides attractive modern four-seat chair lift with bubbles, contactless turnstile system, modern Snowmaking systems, natural lake, called reservoirs, and the quality of the professional background needed for winter sports. Excellent, 1450 m long moderate slopes with lack of steep sections make this place popular both in the group of advanced and beginner skiers.
